Thomas Seymour 's plot to take the throne from King Edward VI

Being a young king, King Edward the 6th had many enemies who wanted him out of the way and the throne for themselves. One person in particular was his uncle, Thomas Seymour. Thomas Seymour was cunning and devious. He married King Henry VIII 's late wife, Catherine Parr, to get close to the throne and later he wanted to marry Elizabeth Tudor, later Queen Elizabeth I. Thomas Seymour also tried to abduct King Edward VI. However, he was caught and was charged with treason.

Was Elizabeth plotting to take over the throne from King Edward the 6th?

When Thomas Seymour was arrested and charged with treason, Elizabeth too was interrogated because of her relationship with Thomas Seymour. The evidence was mounting but Elizabeth denied all charges and nothing could be proven so she was off the hook.
