Mary Stuart
Mary Stuart was Queen Elizabeth I. Mary Stuart often prayed because she was a true Catholic. The Catholics of England believed that she was the true Queen of England, not Elizabeth I. Spain also wanted her as Queen as she was a Catholic and Elizabeth I was a protestant. Mary Stuart believed herself a queen.
Mary Queen of Scots imprisonment
Mary Queen of Scots (aka Mary Stuart) was imprisoned in the Fotheringhay Castle. Spain had been sending her letters to give her hope of becoming rescued and becoming Queen of England. She had been writing letters back.
However, all her letters were intercepted by Sir Francis Walsingham.
Finally, a letter came and Mary Stuart commanded them to go to work. This was just what Spain was waiting for.

The first attack on Queen Elizabeth I began with Ramsey invading the Queen Prayers Chamber and shot at her. This would have killed Queen Elizabeth I. However, the gun was not loaded, to Ramsey 's surprise. Ramsey, the assassin, was arrested. The news of Elizabeth 's attack was brought to Mary Stuart who was shocked that she was unharmed. Mary was then to be tried for treason. Mary Stuart tried to deny her involvement. However, Sir Francis Walsingham got all her letters to Spain and she was tried for treason. |
Mary Stuart was found guilty of treason and Sir Francis Walsingham said that by law Mary Stuart must die. Mary Stuart said that God was her only judge. Since Mary Stuart was found guilty of treason, Queen Elizabeth I had no choice but to order Mary Stuart 's execution. Mary Stuart was to be executed at 8:00AM. Queen Elizabeth was restless as she wanted the execution to stop.
Mary Stuart held onto her faith in God till the very last breath she took. She was beheaded. Before she was beheaded, she told her executor that she forgave him with all her heart.
Mary Stuart 's death was exactly what the Spanish was looking for. That was why the gun was not loaded. Mary Stuart was a sweet Christian lady and she was slain by a Godless, childless Bastard Elizabeth. Philip King of Spain now has a cause to attack England. The war has begun.
