The life of Queen Elizabeth I from her birth to her death was a very interesting one. She was the daughter of Anne Boleyn whom King Henry VIII executed and pronounced her daughter, later Queen Elizabeth I, illegitimate. Queen Elizabeth I grew up in times of uncertainty and struggles of power. Queen Elizabeth I was the last of the successor named by King Henry VIII. There were times in Queen Elizabeth I 's life when she was certain that her death was looming.
When Queen Elizabeth I became Queen of England
When Queen Elizabeth I became the Queen of England, England was a divided nation with Catholics and Protestants fighting each other among many other serious problems. Queen Mary left England to Queen Elizabeth I in a state of bankruptcy. The English military was weak and enemies were always attacking. France and Spain were fighting constantly to gain control of England.
