Elizabeth Tudor

Elizabeth Tudor was under the care of a governess, who complained that Elizabeth Tudor was neglected by the King and there wasn't even enough money to buy her clothes. But the neglect lasted only a year - by then Jane Seymour had given birth to a son, Edward, and King Henry VIII was feeling so happy and benevolent, that he summoned Elizabeth Tudor back to the palace.

Children of King Henry VIII

Now King Henry VIII had three children - baby Edward by Queen Jane Seymour, Elizabeth Tudor, and Elizabeth Tudor 's older half sister, Mary Tudor. Mary Tudor was the product of King Henry VIII 's marriage to his first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Because he had divorced Catherine, he considered Mary illegitimate and claimed she had no right to the throne.

Mary Tudor

Mary Tudor, daughter of King Henry VIII and his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, was a Catholic, as her mother had been. Elizabeth Tudor was a member of the Church of England, King Henry VIII 's own creation. All three children would eventually be monarchs.
